Assist in specific phases of operation, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of construction and mining equipment systems, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Support senior Service Technicians and observe closely to gain knowledge. This position operates as a Service Technician - Class C in an OJT status.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in shop and field repairs
  • Complete service reports, time cards, and other paperwork legibly and clearly
  • Support senior Technicians and observe to acquire additional skills
  • Ensure all jobs are completed proficiently and safely
  • Clean work areas after each job
  • Participate in service schools and training programs offered by the company
  • Perform other assigned duties

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Understanding of the position's relation to overall business objectives
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing as per Department of Transportation standards
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and bend and twist regularly
  • Proficiency in operating test equipment and troubleshooting skills

Working Conditions

  • Typical hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Weekend work as needed
  • Possible work in inclement weather or hazardous environments
