We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our farm team from March 2026 on a fixed term contract for up to 8 months. If you are looking for a driving role with a difference, join us in the Kent countryside.
What does the job involve?
The role is based in Farningham; however, your duties will include driving to several Watts Farms field locations across Kent & Essex. The role includes irrigation, harvesting, planting and crop covering in addition to supervisory duties of the harvest team, checking the quality of the product harvested and loading harvested product in and out of the tractor trailer.
You will be responsible for:
- Keeping the tractor clean and safe
- Supervising the harvest team to ensure scheduled plans are followed within time frames and quality specifications are met
- Moving, setting up and running irrigators, in addition to making pipelines in the fields
- Driving equipment to the harvest team on the fields and checking and loading harvested crops onto the tractor
- Transporting harvested crops back to site
- Transporting and securing crop covers on the fields
You will have good physical stamina to meet the manual, fast paced nature of the role. Due to the nature of this work, you will be willing and able to work in all weathers and be flexible to work 6 days per week between the hours of 6am & 6pm.

Working hours: 5-6 days per week, 6am-6pm
Recruitment process: The interview process will include both an interview and a work sample. There will be a requirement prior to employment as a tractor driver to pass a car driving test with an external examiner and following that an internal tractor driving assessment. Pre-employment checks will include a Drug & Alcohol test.
