Join our team at Watts Farms, where quality and freshness come first. We’re looking for a Quality Control Operative to help us maintain the high standards our customers expect. Working within our busy Aylesford site, you’ll play a key role in checking and recording the quality of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring every product leaving our site meets specification and is handled to the highest food safety standards.
What You’ll Do
- Assessing and recording the quality of raw materials and dispatched goods against specifications.
- Verifying product labelling, packaging, and documentation for customer orders.
- Checking that cleaning, hygiene, and stock rotation procedures are followed correctly.
- Carrying out pre-use checks on facilities and equipment such as cold stores and scales.
- Ensuring all site hygiene and safety standards are upheld by staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Maintaining accurate and complete QC records and reporting any quality concerns promptly.
- Supporting the Technical and Warehouse teams to drive continuous improvement in product quality and food safety.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll bring a keen eye for detail and a commitment to doing things right. Ideally, you will have:
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and Intermediate Food Hygiene training (or willingness to complete).
- Experience working to product specifications for raw materials or finished goods.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- A proactive, hands‑on approach and confidence working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Previous experience in a food production, warehouse, or quality control environment would be an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
You will work 48 hours per week, working 06:30 - 16:30, 5 days a week.
