We are currently recruiting Car Unloaders for a 6-month temporary contract based in Long Bennington. This role involves unloading vehicles from shipping containers and ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently in line with health and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely unload vehicles from containers
- Remove straps and securing equipment from vehicles
- Drive or manoeuvre vehicles carefully from containers to the designated yard area
- Carry out vehicle handling in accordance with site safety procedures
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations at all times
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Report any vehicle damage or safety concerns immediately
Requirements
- Good awareness of health and safety procedures
- Ability to work outdoors and carry out physical duties
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Previous experience in vehicle handling, unloading, logistics, or yard work is advantageous but not essential
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Counterbalance License would be desirable not essential
