We are looking for a qualified Electrician / EV Installation Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electric vehicle (EV) charging systems and associated electrical infrastructure.

Role Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical installation works primarily relating to EV charging systems, with future involvement in solar PV, battery storage, and integrated smart energy systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician looking to grow within the renewable energy sector and receive further specialist training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and commission domestic and commercial EV charging systems
- Carry out electrical testing, inspection, and certification of completed works
- Conduct site surveys and technical assessments prior to installation
- Ensure all works comply with current BS 7671 regulations and relevant standards
- Complete installation documentation, certification, and job reports accurately
- Liaise professionally with customers and explain system operation upon handover
- Support future installation works relating to solar PV, battery storage, and renewable technologies
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good condition
- Work collaboratively with the technical and operations teams
Essential Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Qualification
- Minimum 2 years’ practical experience as a qualified electrician
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong understanding of electrical safety and compliance
- Good customer-facing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable / Advantageous Qualifications:
- EV Charge Point Installation Qualification
- 2391 / 2394 / 2395 Inspection & Testing Qualification
- Previous EV Charger Installation Experience
- Experience with Commercial Electrical Installations
- Solar PV / Battery Storage Experience
- ECS Gold Card
- Experience with OCPP / Smart Charger Commissioning
