The Role
Working as part of the production team, you’ll report into the Shift Manager and play a key role in ensuring machinery and production lines continue operating safely and efficiently. This is a very hands on role where you’ll be expected to get involved with the practical side of keeping production moving.
Responsibilities
- Routine machine checks and preventative maintenance
- Replacing damaged conveyor belts and conveyor chains
- Changing bearings, motors and gearboxes
- Supporting with mechanical repairs and breakdown response
- Carrying out basic fault finding and escalating issues where required
- Carrying out quality and hygiene inspections
- Maintaining production flow and stock levels
- Supporting Engineers with line reliability improvements
- Operating safely within strict Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures
- Manual handling and general operational duties
