Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Shifts) to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure PPM activities are completed on time.
  • Reactive Maintenance tasks are actioned as quickly as possible in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain compliance and statutory inspections and support other functions with this task.
  • Support the EHS team.
  • Ensure the stock of spares.

Skills/Experience

  • City and Guilds or similar qualification in Maintenance (Apprenticeship)
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Understanding of H&S procedures
  • Team player
  • Positive attitude
  • Creative and able to work under own initiative and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure

Work/Relevant Experience

  • Minimum 2 years in similar role
  • Experience working with machine and plant maintenance and breakdowns
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of working with a computerised maintenance system
  • Experience with Welding and Fabrication
  • Computer literate
  • Holds a good understanding of general engineering principles
  • Available for out of hours (breakdown system on a rota)
