Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Quality Control Technician to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the inspection and release of all Biopure manufactured products and raw materials throughout the manufacturing process to ensure that all products meet the company’s strict quality and compliance standards.
- Perform a vital role in supporting Biopure quality functions in all aspects, involving a wide variety of tasks spanning inspection, release, reporting of non-conformances and cross department support.
- Provide quality support to manufacturing and logistics areas, conduct inspections to control, monitor and maintain defined quality standards to meet the requirements of our customers.
- Ensure all product inspection and release is completed in conjunction with written inspection criteria.
- Maintain quality control documentation to ensure product traceability and ISO9001:2015 compliance is achieved.
- Develop detailed product knowledge of all Biopure and WMA products.
- Report quality concerns and delays to the Quality Control Supervisor.
- Inspect and verify Works Order documentation.
- Responsible and empowered to ensure compliance with quality standards and to stop work that may compromise product quality or customer requirements.
- Identify quality concerns and assist with non-conformance investigations including root cause analysis where advised by your Supervisor or Manager.
- Liaise with department supervisors and managers to ensure quality products are produced and standards maintained.
- Perform component First Off’s, In Process and Final Release inspections.
- Support new product development and validations.
- Understand and interpret engineering drawings.
- Participate in department audits.
- Perform ERP (AX) quality specific tasks.
- Monitor production output to identify and prioritise changes in personal workload.
- Provide coaching for staff regarding product quality and company compliance.
- Assist in environmental monitoring - Bioburden Testing – and Air Particulate Testing within the cleanrooms.
- Record and maintain daily quality performance data.
- Assist when required in internal and external ISO and customer audits.
- Inspect and release controlled raw material (Logistics).
Skills/Experience
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience of quality standards within manufacturing.
- Understanding of the ISO9001:2015 quality standard.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to make considered decisions and to communicate them effectively at all levels.
- Prepared to work long periods within an ISO class 7 cleanroom.
- Able to follow written process instructions.
- Pro-active self-starter, capable of multitasking and working on own initiative.
- Proficient IT Skills and Experience of ERP Systems.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Ability to work and collaborate as part of a team.
