Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Assembly Operator to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with the Company Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Policies, reporting any potentially dangerous issues/faults to your direct Team Leader or Production Manager including but not limited to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- To ensure quality products are produced in the required quantity, on time, and at the lowest possible cost, in a manner in keeping with the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures of the company.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude to training and personal development.
- Monitor the performance of the process ensuring maximum output is always achieved.
- Carry out and document the correct quality control checks for each job performed, completing all production paperwork.
- Work as a team to ensure departmental targets, company targets and customer deadlines are achieved.
What you’ll be doing
- Assembling a range of hoses to a high-quality standard.
- Checking components are correct to order before assembling.
- Working to written instructions and adhering to manufacturing tolerances.
- Using various types of machinery to complete the assembly build.
- Understanding and working in accordance with the company H&S directives.
- Identifying continuous improvements as part of the team objective.
- Operate within the boundaries of the company quality system to ensure the requirements of the company accreditations are supported.
Skills / Experience
- Previous working experience in manufacturing environments.
- Be methodical and thorough.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy of measurement and data recording while working with tape measures and verniers.
- Good attitude towards managers and co-workers.
- Be able to work overtime as required.
- Must be a team player.
- Previous experience within mechanical engineering and an understanding of pressure and flow would be an advantage.
Technical Ability
- Respect customer delivery expectations by maintaining a well-organised workflow and work environment.
- Be able to work in both metric and imperial measurement systems.
