Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Assembler Tester to join our dynamic team. You will be integrated into a cooperative and encouraging team, participate in challenging yet critical work, and experience ongoing growth opportunities to help you achieve your full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of the Pumps Assembly team to produce and assemble high quality peristaltic pump drives and heads.
- Manufacture and assemble WMFTS products in compliance with official documentation such as BOMs, GA drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly procedures and test specifications.
- Select relevant components for main assemblies and sub-assemblies using the internal stock control process.
- Follow robust work instructions and record all relevant test procedures and results in line with departmental procedures.
- Champion quality and the right-first-time principle; report and record any quality issues.
- Ensure Kanban signals are actioned as part of the material replenishment system.
- Use Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP to prioritise daily workload and meet customer demand.
- Prioritise workload to ensure replenishment of sub-assembly stocks in alignment with Kanban.
- Be a flexible member of the Assembly team, relocating to various product cells as needed.
- Assist with training of individuals in new and existing products when required.
- Self-manage online training and IT-related production tasks.
- Maintain a tidy, safe working area and champion health, safety and wellbeing.
- Be willing to adapt to shift-based rotation if business demand dictates.
- Provide support for various production activities including end-of-line processes.
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives and work with Team Leaders to develop and implement new ideas.
- Assist with process validation of new equipment and support 5S and root cause analysis activities.
Skills/Experience
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Medical device manufacturing background would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience of 5S processes.
- Keen eye for detail and a willingness to drive process improvement using available resources.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing customer demands.
