We currently have a vacancy for a Bookkeeper/Qualified Accounting Technician to join a long-established accountancy firm with an excellent reputation based in our office in Omagh. This position would ideally suit a qualified Accounting Technician wishing to gain additional experience and an opportunity for further career development with full study support provided.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assistance with basic bookkeeping activities including processing sales & purchase invoices, cheque payments, direct debits & transfers, and completion of bank reconciliation.
  • Entering data into accounting software.
  • Completion of monthly and quarterly VAT returns for both UK and ROI companies mainly using cloud software but also on Excel.
  • Preparing financial statements for partnerships and sole traders.
  • Ensuring that accounting records for clients are maintained and kept up to date.

Requirements:

  • Recent experience in a Bookkeeping role (desired but not essential as full training will be provided).
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE's A-C grade including English and Maths.
  • Practical knowledge of computerised accounts packages (Experience using Sage/Xero desired but not essential as full training will be provided).
  • Excellent IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and Word.

This is a permanent contract with fixed hours. An opportunity for further career development with full study support is provided. You will be working for a local firm that is expanding in a digital moving environment for small businesses, taking pride in customer service and maintaining staff welfare.
