Site Manager - Residential Construction Henley-on-Thames, must be located within commutable distance Salary from £45,000 - £55,000 + Benefits Working for a small to medium-sized main contractor specialising in the residential construction sector. The business is committed to strengthening the team and continuing to deliver quality, high-end residential projects. The Site Manager vacancy is a strategic addition which will provide the right candidate with rapid career progression. The Role As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing day-to-day site operations across multiple units; ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will report to the Construction Manager and work closely with external professional consultants. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage all on-site activities from start to completion Responsible for site safety, programme delivery and quality of work Maintain an efficient and well-organised site Manage & coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff and address any issues proactively to maintain progress and compliance Responsibility for health and safety on site, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and company procedures Monitor project progress and report to the Management Team; escalate significant risks, delays or issues in a timely manner Plan and manage site budgets, schedules, and resources effectively including material storage, deliveries and waste management Monitor workforce attendance and maintain accurate records of who is on site Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control standards are met Resolve any on-site issues quickly and efficiently Requirements Proven experience as a Site Manager in residential construction is essential Proactive and solutions focussed approach to problem solving Strong organisation skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain control under pressure Relevant qualifications but not essential SMSTS, SSSTS, CSCS, First Aid Full UK driving licence Willing to “muck in” and “get hands dirty" when required What We Offer £45,000 - £55,000 per annum depending on experience Company vehicle or allowance – negotiable Opportunities for career progression Supportive and collaborative team environment Ongoing training and development
