We are working towards partnerships with UK universities and registration with the Office for Students (OfS), aiming to establish ourselves as a trusted higher education provider. To support our continued growth and vision for academic excellence, we are seeking a visionary and dynamic Principal to lead our academic and operational functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and operational management to ensure the academic success and institutional growth of Watney College.
- Oversee curriculum development, quality assurance, and academic compliance in line with awarding bodies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning, and student support.
- Lead the college through external inspections, audits, and partnerships, including OfS registration and university affiliations.
- Recruit, manage, and develop academic and administrative staff.
- Drive initiatives for student engagement, retention, and achievement.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and equality and diversity regulations.
- Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, awarding bodies, regulatory authorities, and education partners.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in Education or a related field (Doctorate preferred).
- At least 5 years of senior leadership experience in further or higher education.
- In-depth understanding of UK education frameworks, awarding bodies, and regulatory compliance (e.g., OfS, QAA, ESFA).
- Proven ability to lead teams and implement quality improvement measures.
- Strong strategic, operational, and financial management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- A passion for inclusive education, innovation, and academic excellence.
