Role Overview
Project Application Engineer will deliver process control system solutions to our customers. This hands-on engineering role involves delivering SCADA and process control systems, covering all phases of project delivery, including obtaining user requirements, documentation, configurations, testing, commissioning, and training.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with customers to help define system requirements
- Generate detailed system designs for automation systems, including enclosures, networking, instrumentation, and supervisory systems
- Create Functional and Test Specifications
- Implement control and SCADA application software
- Perform system tests
- Provide commissioning assistance
- Offer technical and sales support
- Work as a team member and ensure effective completion of work using smart objectives
- Interface with Technical Support and Field Service Engineers, providing follow-ups on projects
- Coach and mentor junior team members
- Conduct customer off-site visits for: System start-up and commissioning/Emergency restoration/Training/Technical support
Qualifications and Attributes
- Proven track record in implementing control systems and providing related services
- Degree in Control and Systems Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Computer Science or related
- Experience with SCADA with Aveva System Platform
- Functional Specifications/ Test Specifications/ Application Engineering
- Strong business and technical mind-set
- Good team player and communicator
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Willingness to travel from time to time
