Role Overview: Project Application Engineer will deliver process control system solutions to our customers. This hands-on engineering role involves delivering SCADA and process control systems, covering all phases of project delivery, including obtaining user requirements, documentation, configurations, testing, commissioning, and training. Hybrid work – 3 days a week in the office.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with customers to help define system requirements
  • Generate detailed system designs for automation systems, including enclosures, networking, instrumentation, and supervisory systems
  • Create Functional and Test Specifications
  • Procure project equipment
  • Implement control and SCADA application software
  • Perform system tests
  • Provide commissioning assistance
  • Offer technical and sales support
  • Work as a team member and ensure effective completion of work using smart objectives
  • Interface with Technical Support and Field Service Engineers, providing follow-ups on projects
  • Coach and mentor junior team members
  • Conduct customer off-site visits for: System start-up and commissioning/Emergency restoration/Training/Technical support

Qualifications And Attributes:

  • Proven track record in implementing control systems and providing related services
  • Degree in Control and Systems Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Computer Science or related
  • Experience with SCADA with Aveva System Platform
  • Functional Specifications/ Test Specifications/ Application Engineering
  • Strong business and technical mind-set
  • Good team player and communicator
  • Strong analytical and planning skills
  • Willingness to travel from time to time
