We are hiring a Senior Sales Executive - Nuclear & Power Generation (Europe).
Location: United Kingdom, travel across Europe.
As a Senior Sales Executive - Nuclear & Power Generation (Europe), you will drive strategic growth for Watlow’s complete thermal loop solutions in highly regulated, safety critical markets. You will focus primarily on the nuclear sector, with a secondary focus on power generation, developing opportunities in large, complex, long cycle projects.
You will engage at both technical and commercial levels with EPCs, utilities, OEMs and end users, shaping system level solutions that combine electric heaters, pressure equipment, power and control panels, and DCS / automation systems. This is a senior, customer facing role where you will act as a trusted interlocutor for EPC project directors, lead engineers and procurement/technical authorities, while coordinating internal engineering, product and project management teams to win and deliver strategic projects.
What You’ll Do
- Grow nuclear business in Europe
- Develop and manage key relationships with nuclear EPCs, utilities and OEMs, especially in UK and France
- Identify and qualify opportunities in new build, life extension and modernisation programmes
- Lead complex solution selling
- Position full thermal loop solutions (heaters, pressure equipment, power and control panels, DCS integration) rather than standalone products
- Act as the main technical commercial contact, working closely with customer engineering and Watlow internal teams
- Manage the sales cycle for large projects
- Support RFQs, bids and contract negotiations for long cycle EPC and end customer projects.
- Coordinate with engineering, product management and project management through bid and early execution phases
- Develop secondary power generation opportunities
- Use your oil & gas experience to identify and grow projects with similar complexity and safety requirements.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Extensive experience in technical sales, business development or project commercial roles for engineered solutions
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process or Automation (or equivalent experience) preferred
- Proven background in the nuclear sector (mandatory), working with EPCs, utilities and/or OEMs supplying safety critical systems
- Strong technical understanding of electric heating systems, pressure equipment, power and control panels, and industrial automation / DCS architectures
- Ability to discuss complete thermal loops and system architectures, not just individual products
- Fluent English
- Comfortable in highly regulated, safety driven environments and credible with senior stakeholders (EPC project directors, lead engineers, procurement/technical authorities)
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom
Why join Watlow’s team
- Shape Watlow’s position in nuclear and power generation across Europe, working on high impact, long term projects
- Collaborate with international, cross functional teams and leverage deep engineering and innovation capabilities
- Grow your career through exposure to global customers, complex programmes and clear development opportunities
