We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operator to join our team at our Worthing site. This is a hands-on, business-critical role within a small, fast-moving warehouse team that supports customer repairs and essential materials for our global operations. You will manage the day-to-day flow of inbound and outbound goods, ensuring repairs, parts and equipment are received, processed, and shipped accurately and on time.
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday 08.30 – 16.30
What You’ll Do:
- Inbound (Receiving & Booking-In)
- Receive inbound customer repairs and materials from global locations.
- Unload deliveries and check goods against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and escalate issues to Purchasing or Logistics.
- Process receipts and allocate stock using the Oracle/MacPac ERP system.
- Store materials safely and accurately in designated locations.
- Distribute customer repair items to the appropriate internal departments.
- Pick and pack customer repairs, R&D items and project materials.
- Check picks for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare shipping documentation and export paperwork in Oracle.
- Coordinate with carriers and support collections/loading.
- Ensure urgent and time-sensitive shipments are prioritised.
- Dispatch orders to customers and group companies with high accuracy.
- Inventory & Stock Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records and process stock transactions.
- Conduct cycle counts and full stock checks.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Maintain organised stores areas for consumables and materials.
- Systems & Administration
- Use Oracle/MacPac ERP to receive, move, pick, ship and adjust stock.
- Generate and manage pick lists, labels, dispatch notes and shipping documents.
- File delivery notes and proof of delivery records accurately.
- Enter customer orders into the Oracle system following company procedures.
- Health, Safety & Housekeeping
- Adhere to company health, safety and environmental policies.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment including pallet trucks and forklifts (where trained).
- Ensure safe manual handling practices are followed.
- Keep warehouse areas clean, tidy and organised.
- Report hazards and incidents via company systems.
- Liaise with Service, R&D, Sales, Projects, Customer Support and Logistics teams.
- Support group companies with repairs, shipments, imports and exports.
- Help maintain service levels and respond to shifting priorities in a busy environment.
- Contribute to site initiatives and community projects requiring warehouse support.
What You’ll need to succeed:
- Experience in a warehouse or logistics role (ideally covering goods-in and dispatch).
- Confidence using ERP systems for transaction processing.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical working style.
- Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure.
- Good communication skills with confidence interacting across departments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision once trained.
- Comfortable with manual handling as part of daily work.
- Positive, proactive attitude and strong team ethic.
- Ability to work on-site in Worthing during the required hours.
- Valid forklift licence.
- Experience supporting global logistics operations.
