About the role:
The (Senior) Systems Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality process control system solutions to our customers. This hands‑on role covers the full project lifecycle of SCADA and process control systems, including requirements gathering, system design and documentation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and customer training. We welcome applications from both experienced professionals and developing engineers, with the level of responsibility tailored to the candidate’s expertise.
What You’ll Do:
- Liaise with customers to define and clarify system requirements
- Develop detailed automation system designs, including enclosures, networking, instrumentation, and supervisory systems
- Prepare Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and Test Specifications
- Manage procurement of project equipment
- Develop and implement control and SCADA application software
- Conduct system integration and factory acceptance testing
- Deliver technical and pre‑sales support as required
- Collaborate effectively within project teams to ensure successful delivery against agreed objectives
- Interface with Technical Support and Field Service Engineers, providing project updates and follow‑up actions
- Conduct customer site visits for system start‑up, commissioning, emergency restoration, training, and technical support
What You’ll need to succeed:
- Proven experience in the implementation of control systems and delivery of related engineering services
- Degree in Control & Systems Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Hands‑on experience with SCADA systems, ideally Aveva System Platform
- Strong background in Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Test Specifications, and application engineering
- Commercial awareness combined with a solid technical mindset
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Strong analytical thinking and project planning capabilities
- Willingness to travel as required
