Watling Academy is seeking a committed and resilient Pastoral Leader to join our pastoral team. This is a role focused on leading and delivering high-quality pastoral care, behaviour support and student wellbeing.

As a Pastoral Leader at Watling Academy, you will:

  • Take a lead role in supporting student behaviour, attendance, safeguarding and wellbeing, ensuring high standards are consistently maintained.
  • Play a key role in the school's behaviour systems, including participating in the on-call rota and responding to incidents across the school.
  • Build strong relationships with students to support them in overcoming barriers, making positive choices and achieving success.
  • Work closely with staff, families and external agencies to provide targeted intervention and coordinated support for students.
  • Monitor and analyse behaviour, attendance and pastoral data to ensure early intervention and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of school systems and pastoral processes, including transitions and key events.
