With four offices strategically located in North Bristol, South Bristol, Bath, and Hereford, we also serve clients in Evesham by appointment.

The Opportunity:
A full-time Accounts Assistant position is available, starting April 2026. This role is integral to our Accounts department, requiring 35 hours per week; Monday to Thursday 9 am to 5 pm, and Friday 8.30 am to 4 pm based in our North Street Bristol office. After initial training, hybrid working would be considered.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting the team with queries on financial matters such as account postings, bank reconciliation, banking, assisting with conveyancing transactions, purchase ledger transactions, expense claims, and petty cash.
- Support in gathering information for reports, reviewing dormant matters, and dealing with residual balances and ledger queries.
- General administrative duties to support the Accounts department.
- Handling confidential information in line with the Firm's data security protocol.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience in an accounts role, with at least one year in a legal setting required.
- Good working knowledge of Solicitor Accounts rules.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess financial data and identify discrepancies.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Strong data entry and numeracy skills with meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial documentation.
- A hardworking, proactive approach will be needed to problem-solve and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to share knowledge with and support other members of the team.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with case management systems.
