We are seeking an ambitious and personable Private Client Lawyer to join our growing Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive, forward-thinking, and well-regarded department.
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, working closely with the Head of Private Client while benefiting from administrative support and opportunities for career development.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a caseload including:
- Wills and estate planning
- Probate and estate administration
- Powers of attorney
- Trusts and Court of Protection matters
- Providing clear, empathetic advice to clients, often involving sensitive and complex family situations
- Assisting with business development and contributing to the team’s continued growth
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk-management procedures
- A minimum of 3+ years PQE in Private Client law (applications above this level are welcomed and will be considered)
- Strong technical knowledge with the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication and client-care skills
- A proactive, organised approach with attention to detail
- Enthusiastic about marketing and business development, with a willingness to contribute to initiatives such as seminars, community outreach, writing articles, or supporting the firm’s online presence
- Access to a vehicle and confident conducting home visits, care-home visits, and attending our other offices in South Wales where necessary
- A supportive environment with opportunities for training and progression
- Hybrid working arrangements where appropriate
