At Watkin Jones, we're currently recruiting for a Customer Service Operative to join our team. This hands-on role involves travelling to sites across the UK to diagnose and carry out repairs within occupied buildings, primarily focusing on multistorey residential developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing faults and creating detailed schedules of work to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Carrying out repairs across a variety of construction trades, using tools, construction equipment, and access equipment following appropriate training.
  • Liaising with customers to arrange and follow up on repair work.
  • Coordinating and overseeing sub-contractors when needed to complete tasks.
  • Recording repair activities and managing appointments using electronic devices and relevant software.
  • Regular communication with the customer care team through updates and reports.
  • Working safely at height and ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
  • Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and site-specific safety protocols at all times.

About you:

  • A Level 6 (Degree) qualification or significant and substantial experience in a relevant or related field is essential for this role as well as holding a valid CSCS card.
  • Demonstrating evidence of ongoing training and a commitment to maintaining professional status.
  • Staying informed about developments, trends, and best practices within the sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the construction industry, health and safety legislation, and best practices is required.
  • Understanding of contract law as it relates to property and disputes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to manage time and workload effectively are also essential skills for success in this position.
