We are looking for an experienced and motivated CNC Turner / Programmer to join our expanding precision engineering division in Rotherham. You will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating Haas / Hankook Lathes, supporting both prototype and production machining for our engineered valve and pipeline product range. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a modern, well-equipped CNC facility, using the latest Fusion 360 CAM software and Haas / Hankook multi-axis equipment.
THE DUTIES OF A CNC TURNER PROGRAMMER:
- Responsible for programming, setting and operating Haas CNC machines (DS-30Y, ST-40, VTL1400)
- Be able to use Fanuc controls
- Ability to produce finished components to quality requirements.
- Can work to tight limits in a high precision environment.
- Health & Safety adherence including Workspace Housekeeping.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS OF A CNC PROGRAMMER:
- Proven experience programming and setting CNC lathes (multi-axis)
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and CAD models
- Proficiency with Autodesk Fusion 360 CAM software.
- Strong knowledge of Haas/Fanuc G- and M-code programming.
- Skilled in machining stainless steel, duplex, aluminium, and engineering plastics
- Confident in using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges, CMM)
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, safety-first approach.
THE HOURS: You will work a day shift: Mon β Thurs: 8am β 5pm, Fri: 8am β 1pm
