You will work under the guidance of the Headteacher, JMAT Estates Manager and in conjunction with the School Business Manager to ensure the school site is secure, clean, safe and fully operational each day. The successful candidate will need to be organised, approachable and capable of working independently, sometimes responding quickly to arising needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily site security, including unlocking/locking up and carrying out safety checks
- Routine maintenance, repairs and caretaking duties
- Monitoring cleaning standards and liaising with contractors
- Ensuring health and safety compliance across the school
- Maintaining electronic and paper records linked to compliance
- Supporting the smooth running of the school by being a visible and helpful presence
