The role involves supporting the Council’s corporate buildings, including the new Town Hall & Innovation Hub and the Watford Colosseum. The role focuses on providing client-side assurance that statutory compliance and maintenance responsibilities are being met across these sites, as well as across a wider portfolio of community and investment assets.
You will:
- Monitor statutory compliance across multiple council-owned properties
- Review certification, inspection reports and maintenance records
- Identify risks, gaps or overdue actions and ensure they are addressed
- Work with tenants and operators to confirm compliance with lease and statutory obligations
- Track remedial actions through to completion and maintain clear audit records
You will also support maintenance co-ordination, including reviewing planned maintenance, logging issues, and overseeing contractors delivering repairs and small works. The role involves regular liaison with building operators, tenants, contractors and internal teams to ensure responsibilities are understood and delivered.

We are looking for someone with relevant experience in facilities management, property or compliance.
You will have:
- Knowledge of statutory building compliance and health & safety requirements
- Experience reviewing compliance information and managing follow-up actions
- Experience working with contractors, tenants or site operators
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Clear communication skills and the ability to provide appropriate challenge
- Experience with CAFM systems and working across multiple sites is desirable
