We are looking for experienced Technical Business Analysts to join our team to lead and support iQcodex configuration projects and to hands-on configure the iQcodex platform for our clients. This is a hybrid analysis-and-delivery role that sits at the intersection of business process, data, and technology. It is best suited to someone who has moved into business analysis from a technical background — software development, technical analysis, infrastructure, or DevOps — and who enjoys solving logical, rule-based problems against real data.

This is not a traditional process-oriented BA role. We need someone who can sit with a complex dataset, trace it through forms, rules, triggers and reports, and then translate that understanding directly into platform configuration. If you think naturally in “if-this-then-that” logic, are comfortable reading SQL, and have ever written a macro or built something on top of a database, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Platform configuration: Configure the iQcodex platform end-to-end to meet client requirements, including forms, data fields, workflows, business rules, triggers and reports, and AI/ML structure.
  • Project delivery: Run iQcodex configuration projects, owning the analysis and configuration stream from requirements through to UAT and handover.
  • Business analysis: Discover, analyse and document business requirements, turning them into clear, testable configuration specifications.
  • Data analysis & manipulation: Work with large, complex datasets — often in Excel with many columns and thousands of rows — to validate, cleanse, transform and load into the platform.
  • Rules-based logic design: Decompose business processes into clear conditional logic (if / then / else) that can be implemented via platform configuration.
  • Database interaction: Read, interrogate and query databases to support configuration, validation, troubleshooting and reporting.
  • SDLC participation: Engage fully across the software development lifecycle — requirements, design, build/configure, test, deploy and support — alongside engineering, QA and infrastructure colleagues.
  • Controls & risk awareness: Understand the data, controls and risk implications of the configurations being deployed, particularly where sensitive or regulated data is involved.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Work directly with client subject-matter experts, project managers and internal engineering teams to deliver high-quality, well-understood configurations.

Qualifications

  • A Business Analyst who has come from a technical background (software development, technical analysis, infrastructure, or DevOps) rather than from a purely business-process background.
  • Demonstrable involvement in the software development lifecycle — having sat inside delivery teams, not just adjacent to them.
  • Experience on configuration-heavy or platform-implementation projects (or equivalent technical delivery experience).

Required Skills

  • Able to read and write SQL to at least an intermediate level — comfortable writing SELECT queries with joins, filters and aggregates to interrogate data.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Access or a comparable desktop/relational database tool.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables, and complex nested formulas — beyond basic day-to-day spreadsheet use.
  • Experience building macros (for example in Excel VBA), or equivalent evidence of procedural coding experience such as Visual Basic, scripting, or simple application development.
  • Ability to read and understand code (the role does not require writing production code in languages such as C#, but you must be able to follow procedural logic in code).
  • Comfortable interpreting a screen or schema showing multiple databases or tables — understanding what each represents, how to access it, and what the associated controls and risks are.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience building web pages or small applications with a database backend.
  • Prior experience as a Software Developer who now wishes to move into analysis and configuration work.
  • Experience with Visual Basic or VBA beyond simple macros.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices, infrastructure, or technical analyst roles.
  • Experience working on projects involving regulated data, audit trails or formal control frameworks.
  • Prior exposure to low-code / configurable platforms similar to iQcodex.

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your CV along with a short note explaining a project where you combined business analysis with hands-on technical configuration or development — what you built, what technologies you used, and what the business outcome was.

We are committed to diversity and inclusivity.
