Warehouse Team Leader

Monday to Friday or Sunday to Thursday
6:00 am β 2:00 pm, 2:00 pm β 10:00 pm or 10:00 pm β 6:00 am
We are looking for a Team Leader to join us at our Burton-Upon-Trent warehouse. In this role you will lead a team of warehouse operatives to ensure objectives are achieved and accurate stock is delivered to bookshops and customers on time to enable a great experience for our customers.
What you will be doing
Manage your warehouse team including assigning tasks, monitoring absence and performance, providing general guidance and support
Deliver effective briefs at the beginning of every shift to plan the work and motivate the team
Manage inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and proper storage of goods and overseeing stock control systems
Monitor and enforce compliance to maintain quality control and accuracy of inventory
Promote a safety culture β adhering to health and safety policies and processes, ensuring a safe environment
Identify areas for improvement and creating proposals to share with senior management
Address and resolve problems that arise within the warehouse in collaboration with other teams
Work with senior managers on identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Coach and mentor team members to develop a high performing team
Manage customer orders and handle their sensitive information in line with GDPR
