What you will be doing:
- Responsible for safeguarding the warehouse premises, assets, personnel and visitors by maintaining a secure environment.
- Support the operation by monitoring access control, conducting regular patrols, preventing theft or damage, responding to incidents and ensuring compliance with safety and security procedures.
- Monitor and control access to the warehouse premises, ensuring only authorised personnel, vehicles and visitors are permitted entry.
- Conduct regular security patrols of the warehouse and perimeter.
- Monitor CCTV systems, alarm panels and other security equipment to detect suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies or alarms following security protocols.
- Prevent theft, vandalism and unauthorised removal of goods or materials.
- Support health and safety compliance by reporting hazards or unsafe conditions.
- Liaise with on-site management and law enforcement if required.
- Assist in emergency evacuations, fire drills and first aid situations (if required).
What we need from you:
- Previous experience in a security, safety role.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Basic IT skills, including incident reporting systems and email.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to conduct security patrols, inspections, and risk assessments effectively.
- Security Industry Authority (SIA) Licence.
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience operating CCTV and access control systems.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
