Health & Safety Administrator / Coordinator
9-month fixed term contract
Based in Burton Upon Trent / hybrid. (3 days on site / 2 days at home)
We are looking for a Health & safety Administrator to join our friendly and dynamic team here at Waterstones in Burton Upon Trent. In this newly created role, you will support our H&S team and ensure adherence to key H&S legislation. You will act as the day-to-day contact for stores and support functions across the business.
What you will be doing
- Provide daily support to management, stores and internal departments for all general queries.
- Monitor live cases and situations, helping to ensure tasks are fully closed out including accidents, outputs from fire risk assessments, water monitoring risk assessments, RIDDOR reporting, insurance queries and enforcement visits.
- Building relationships with internal departments and communicating key H&S findings.
- Instructing / coordinate management information for H&S queries.
- Helping to identify areas for innovation & improvement including the development of an in-house system and the recording of analytical information.
- Carry out other reasonable tasks to support the H&S team.
What we need from you
- A good understanding of H&S management.
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
- Confident and comfortable using and interpreting numerical data and programmes.
- Manage various requests for information, including, ability to prioritise
- Good attention to detail and able to use own initiative.
- Manage and respond to all requests for Information.
- Ability to compile and maintain KPI information
