Haggerston School is part of Community Schools Trust. We serve a diverse community and aim to level the playing field for all students by providing a world class education. We focus on outcomes and professional development to improve classroom practice for all staff. Our approach is evidence-informed and explicit instruction, with a focus on routines for behaviour and maximizing learning time. We emphasise prosocial behaviours to prepare students for life beyond school, especially for those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

When students fall behind, teachers run interventions outside of lessons. An after-school session is provided for all Year 11 students so families are not required to pay for tutoring. We expect high standards from both staff and students.

We invest in working smart, with a short Christmas break, no retrospective book marking, no student report writing, and a 4.5 day week.

The Community Schools Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references in line with Safer Recruitment guidelines. We are an inclusive employer and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
