Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality English language instruction to students across all year groups.
- Implement evidence‑based teaching with explicit instruction, avoiding discovery learning.
- Maintain and develop behaviour management routines, ensuring effective transitions and maximising learning time.
- Run interventions and after‑school support sessions, particularly for Year 11 students, to support catch‑up without tutor fees.
- Participate in professional development, including instruction coaching, deliberate practice, video modelling and peer feedback.
- Support pupils in developing prosocial behaviours such as eye contact, attentive listening and gratitude, to promote life skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
- PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, with teaching experience at a primary or secondary level.
- Evidence of improving student outcomes and being open to instructional coaching and continuous improvement.
- Experience in delivering extracurricular support or interventions is desirable.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
