Contract: Permanent, Full‑Time

Salary: £40,317.00 – £62,496.00 annually (Actual). Potential TLR to be discussed at interview.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high quality English language instruction to students across all year groups.
  • Implement evidence‑based teaching with explicit instruction, avoiding discovery learning.
  • Maintain and develop behaviour management routines, ensuring effective transitions and maximising learning time.
  • Run interventions and after‑school support sessions, particularly for Year 11 students, to support catch‑up without tutor fees.
  • Participate in professional development, including instruction coaching, deliberate practice, video modelling and peer feedback.
  • Support pupils in developing prosocial behaviours such as eye contact, attentive listening and gratitude, to promote life skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, with teaching experience at a primary or secondary level.
  • Evidence of improving student outcomes and being open to instructional coaching and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in delivering extracurricular support or interventions is desirable.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
