Responsibilities
- Helping to grow and develop our services in employment law, maximising opportunities and developing long‑term, fruitful relationships with both new and existing clients.
- Advising daily on a wide range of both routine and complex matters, that can be contentious or non‑contentious, covering all aspects of employment law.
- Representing clients at the employment tribunal and the employment appeal tribunal, including carrying out any advocacy.
- Helping clients transform their business by advising on, and often participating in, complex collective redundancies, collective bargaining, large‑scale changes to terms and conditions, and Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) transfers.
- Working on and managing a range of clients' projects and dealing with their day‑to‑day employment matters.
- Building and sustaining relationships, developing new accounts, and providing innovative solutions, while offering clients innovative ideas about employment law services technology, approaches, and methodology.
About you
- We are seeking a Senior Employment Lawyer who has experience in employment law, with a track record of working with large private sector businesses.
- 5+ years’ Post Qualified Experience in a fees‑based professional firm.
- Solid technical competence in employment law.
- The confidence to credibly advise senior managers within large organisations.
- Up‑to‑date with modern working practices, while understanding the day‑to‑day pressures busy managers experience.
- Personable and professional, with the ability and drive to develop new business in a competitive industry.
- Capable of building and maintaining relationships with demanding clients.
- A confident communicator, with the experience needed to present and provide a range of services and products that match clients' needs.
- Commercially astute, with an unqualified desire to build long‑term relationships.
