Waters are looking for a Mechanical Multi Skilled Systems Fitter! Working within a LEAN focused New Product Operations Group, at our pioneering facility in Wilmslow. The role covers all stages of a product’s life cycle from early engineering units, through alpha, beta, pre-production and production phases. Responsibilities
- The Mechanical Multi‑Skilled Fitter plays a key role in the precision assembly of Mass Spectrometers and associated Sub-Assemblies, supporting both mainstream production and all stages of New Product Introduction; from early engineering units through, alpha, beta and pre-production.
- This position is responsible for the integration of mechanical, electrical and vacuum systems of sophisticated assemblies to exacting engineering standards, ensuring build quality and consistency are in line with all Manufacturing processes.
- Working within a collaborative and lean manufacturing environment, the role contributes to the delivery of high-performance scientific instrumentation through technical excellence, attention to detail, and a dedication to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship.
- NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
- Excellent fault diagnosis skills.
- There is a requirement for a Basic Criminal Record Check (DBS) as part of the employment referencing process.
