Waters is looking for a Mechanical Multi Skilled Systems Fitter! Working within a LEAN-focused New Product Operations Group at our pioneering facility in Wilmslow. The role involves all aspects of a product’s life cycle, including early engineering units, alpha, beta, pre‑production, and production phases. Responsibilities
- The Mechanical Multi‑Skilled Systems Fitter plays a key role in the precision assembly of Mass Spectrometers and associated Sub‑Assemblies, supporting both mainstream production and all stages of New Product Introduction, from early engineering units through alpha, beta and pre‑production.
- This position is responsible for the integration of mechanical, electrical and vacuum systems of complex assemblies to exacting engineering standards, ensuring build quality and consistency are in line with all Manufacturing processes.
- Working within a collaborative and lean manufacturing environment, the role contributes to the delivery of high‑performance scientific instrumentation through technical excellence, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship.
- NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent in an engineering field.
- Excellent fault diagnosis skills.
- There is a requirement for a Basic Criminal Record Check (DBS) as part of the employment referencing process.
