Responsibilities
- Manufacture and inspect components to drawing specification.
- Set up and operate a variety of milling, turning and inspection equipment as per prescribed SOPs.
- Monitor tool life and help develop process control using pre-control and statistical process control techniques.
- Work with the team leader, supervisors and manufacturing engineers to adopt lean manufacturing and continuous improvement opportunities to optimise productivity.
- Maintain good housekeeping methods and adhere to 5S to support a methodical and efficient work area.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in an engineering/manufacturing role.
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling.
- Proven skills in a multi-axis/complex machining environment.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and process improvement techniques.
- Proficiency in using relevant inspection techniques/equipment to achieve drawing tolerances.
- Experience on different mill/turn CNC machines (GF, Mazak, Robodrill).
Competencies
- Highly numerate team player with the ability to work to high standards and exacting targets.
- Ability to manufacture and inspect to engineering drawings.
- Capable of multi-tasking with high levels of attention to detail for both manufacture and documentation.
- Project a flexible, proactive approach, coupled with the willingness to ensure outputs are achieved – working overtime as required.
Work Schedule
- Monday - Thursday 0600 - 1400 (30 minute paid break)
- Friday 0600 - 1300 (30 minute paid break)
- Monday - Thursday 1345 - 2145 (30 minute paid break)
- Friday 1245 - 1945 (30 minute paid break)
