Join a dedicated team of test engineers as a Systems Test Engineer - Mass Spectrometry at our innovative facility in Wilmslow, where you will work within a LEAN-focused New Product Operations group. This is a phenomenal position for you to enter Waters and also get direct experience with our instruments. As your knowledge builds up within the Systems Test domain, we provide excellent career progression to our team members, or you could continue to advance your career with Waters in one of our other departments, such as Test and Worldwide Customer Installation, Product Assurance Engineering, Development, Research, Global Field Service Support or Lab Demonstration.
Responsibilities
- Be part of a team that ensures the timely delivery of Mass Spectrometry systems to meet both customer requirements and quarterly targets.
- Complete performance test specifications on a range of Mass Spectrometers.
- Identify failures of performance specifications, diagnosing and resolving the underlying cause.
- Participate and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of working practices and processes within the department.
- Work on groundbreaking technology, including the development of prototype instruments through pilot production to mainstream manufacture.
- Project a flexible, proactive approach coupled with a willingness to work overtime as required, to ensure the output objectives are achieved.
Qualifications
- A degree in a science/engineering subject or equivalent experience.
