Waterman Tree Company Ltd is a commercial arboricultural contractor and consultancy. We are CHAS accredited and work to BS3998, with triple ISO accreditation in progress. We are growing, and we need someone to open doors with new clients and keep the office running behind the scenes. This is a dual role. Part client acquisition, part operational backbone. It suits someone who is comfortable picking up the phone to a stranger in the morning and reconciling a schedule in the afternoon. You will be office based in Hitchin, working full time, with an immediate start available. The package is a salaried base plus commission on every new client you bring in. Your earnings grow with your results.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business by reaching decision makers such as facilities managers, tree officers, principal contractors and estate managers, primarily through LinkedIn and direct outreach.
  • Build and maintain client relationships that convert into repeat, ongoing contracts rather than one off jobs.
  • Manage day to day office administration, including scheduling, client correspondence and general support to the operations team.
  • Represent a compliance led business accurately and professionally in every client interaction.
  • Keep accurate records of leads, conversations and pipeline activity.

What we are looking for

  • Confident and articulate communication, both on the phone and in person.
  • Strong organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities without dropping detail.
  • Self motivation and a genuine drive to win work, not just complete tasks.
  • Reliability and a professional manner suited to representing an accredited contractor.
  • No arboricultural experience is required. We will teach you the trade and the terminology.
