The purpose of the role is to provide technical and administrative support to the Construction Health & Safety Team, assisting with the delivery of Principal Designer CDM/BR, CDM Services, Building Safety Act and general construction safety services across a wide range of projects.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Assist with the preparation of PD CDM/BR project documentation.
- Support the development and maintenance of project information, risk trackers and registers.
- Assist in the production of Pre-Construction Information.
- Assist in the compilation and review of Health & Safety Files.
- Coordinate and issue project reports and client deliverables.
- Support Principal Designer and CDM Adviser services across multiple projects.
- Maintain project records and audit trails.
- Liaise with designers, clients, contractors and project teams to obtain required information.
Project Administration
- Set up new projects and maintain project databases.
- Monitor project deadlines and assist with programme management.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and issue meeting minutes.
- Manage technical document control and filing systems.
- Assist with quality assurance reviews before reports are issued.
- Support fee proposal preparation and project mobilisation activities.
Compliance and Governance
- Maintain competency records and training trackers.
- Support compliance monitoring against CDM 2015 and Building Safety Act requirements.
- Assist with internal audits and management reporting.
- Maintain templates, standard documents and technical guidance notes.
- Support the implementation of team procedures and best-practice guidance.
Business Support
- Assist in preparing client presentations and tender submissions.
- Maintain Client Database, client reviews and feedback.
- Assist with the maintenance of internal systems and project dashboards.
Person Specification
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience within construction, engineering, health and safety or the built environment.
- Knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
- Knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022.
- Experience of document control systems.
- A construction-related qualification or willingness to undertake training.
- The successful candidate will receive training and mentoring in:
- Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
- Building Safety Act 2022.
- Health & Safety File preparation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The role may suit either:
A graduate in construction, architecture, surveying or engineering; or
An experienced project administrator with construction-sector experience who is seeking a more technical career path.
The ideal candidate is likely to have two years minimum of construction administration or document control experience, enabling them to contribute quickly while continuing to develop technical capability.
The role may provide a progression route towards Technical Construction Administrator / Assistant CDM Consultant, subject to capability, experience and business requirements.
