Join our dynamic team as a Principal Mechanical Engineer, leading projects and disciplines. As principal engineer in our building services team, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading multidisciplinary projects from start to completion.
- Managing interaction with clients/design team members.
- Overseeing technical delivery and ensuring projects meet quality, compliance, and performance standards.
- Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Driving innovation and best practices across the mechanical/electrical discipline.
- Contributing to recruitment, retention, and development of top engineering talent.
- Representing Waterman at industry events, building and maintaining relationships with industry colleagues.
What weβre looking for:
- Significant experience in mechanical/electrical building services design across regulated sectors.
- Proven ability to influence engineering outcomes and lead design teams.
- Strong proficiency with MagiCAD, Relux, Amtech/EOM, AutoCAD and Revit.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline.
