Our Building Services team works on a wide range of projects across sectors including commercial, residential, healthcare, education and infrastructure, with a strong focus on innovation, collaboration and sustainable design.
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Building Services (MEP) team in Nottingham. You will play a key role in the design, coordination and delivery of electrical building services across a diverse portfolio of projects, supporting schemes from concept through to completion.
Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, BIM technicians and other disciplines to deliver high-quality, efficient and sustainable electrical designs.
- Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms and data systems.
- Produce design calculations, specifications, reports and technical documentation.
- Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, public health, structural and architectural teams.
- Support project delivery across all stages, from concept through to detailed design and construction.
- Work within a BIM environment, collaborating with technicians using Autodesk Revit.
- Attend client and design team meetings, representing the electrical discipline.
- Contribute to sustainable and low-carbon design strategies.
- Assist in project planning, resource management and delivery to programme and budget.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Proven experience in electrical design within a Building Services (MEP) consultancy environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and standards.
- Experience working across multiple project stages.
- Ability to manage and deliver projects independently and as part of a team.
- Working towards or achieved Chartered status (e.g. via Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers or IET).
- Experience with BIM and coordination tools (e.g. Autodesk Revit).
- Knowledge of sustainable design and low-carbon technologies.
