If so, we want you to join our Building Services team in Leeds! Located close to Leeds railway station, our office is ideally placed to make the most of the city's heritage, retail and cultural amenities. Our welcoming and diverse team is working on some of the most prestigious and innovative projects in Leeds, across the UK and around the world.
An opportunity has arisen within Waterman Building Services Leeds, for the position of Senior Electrical Engineer. Working as a key member of the team, you will be provided with the autonomy to design Electrical services in many sectors of the industry and be client facing, representing the company.
To fulfil this role, you will need to be degree qualified, or in the process of obtaining your degree (or equivalent), demonstrate suitable design experience in the building services sector (preferably across a variety of sectors) and be an effective communicator, both verbally and in the production of reports and specifications.
Key requirements:
- You will have experience in using recognised design software tools such as REVIT and IES.
- Have great communication skills that can adapt both to external parties and clients but also within the team.
- Understand project needs and be able to manage the full delivery.
- You will have recognised qualifications in Electrical services design and either be working towards Chartered Status, or have an interest in doing so.
- Be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team in support to deliver projects.
- Future flexibility will be needed for regular co-operation, travel and inter-office working.
- In house expertise for Electrical enquiries.
Within Waterman we now carry out our projects in the 3D environment and are rolling out Elec OEM design tool across all offices. While a detailed knowledge of this software is not essential (training will be provided), an awareness of working in a 3D environment is, as is a knowledge of cable sizing and lighting design software.
