Experience required…

  • Design and construction experience in highways
  • Commercial awareness
  • Working knowledge of Local Authority and national design standards and contracts
  • Working knowledge of CDM (Construction Design Management) regulations
  • Ability to contribute to engineering projects with values exceeding £1m from initiation through to completion with support of a senior engineer.
  • Computer literate particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience of the NEC suite of contract documents
  • Knowledge of highway design guidance and standards including DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20, TSRGD, MCHW and other relevant codes of practice and design standards
  • Ability to compile specifications and Bills of Quantities (BoQ)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience would be advantageous)
  • Full UK/EEC driving licence

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Educated to HND or degree level in civil engineering BEng/Meng (or equivalent)
  • Hold or be working towards an appropriate professional qualification (IEng / CEng etc).
