Experience required:
- Essential:
- UK experience within a public, private or third-sector UK-based client
- Highway design experience and in the management and delivery of s278 developer funded highway improvement schemes
- Experience in carrying out technical approval of designs submitted to the local authority by external designers and in checking the design’s compliance with DMRB and industry standards
- Experience in dealing with the highway adoption process once schemes are completed and the transfer of the asset’s responsibility to the authority is required
- Good knowledge and understanding of NEC3/4 conditions of contract
- Thorough understanding of DMRB, TSRGD and MCDHW. Also of Manual for Streets
- Thorough understanding of the Road Safety Audit, Traffic Management Act and NRSWA processes
- A full UK driving licence
- Desirable:
- General awareness of planning process
- Relevant design software such as AutoCAD or Civils 3D
