As a Senior MEICA Engineer, you’ll play a leading role in designing, delivering, and commissioning complex water infrastructure systems. You’ll work across a broad range of client frameworks, contributing technical expertise and supporting junior engineers along the way.
You can expect to:
- Deliver designs for rising mains, pumping stations, and mechanical/electrical systems
- Specify and select equipment including pumps, blowers, dosing plant, and screening systems
- Undertake sump and pipework design for various installations
- Lead commissioning of complex pumping systems
- Prepare reference designs, detailed designs, reports, specifications, and proposals
- Ensure compliance with WIMES, DSEAR/ATEX, CDM 2015, and relevant H&S regulations
- Collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and design teams
- Mentor and support junior team members
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Proven experience delivering MEICA projects in the water or related industries
- Sound understanding of UK design standards and working practices
- Strong working knowledge of OFWAT, WIMES, and Sewers for Adoption
- Experience with pump system control philosophies and equipment commissioning
- CDM and DSEAR/ATEX compliance knowledge
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and manage teams/projects
Desirable:
- Chartered Engineer (or working towards it)
- 10+ years of industry experience
- Previous experience working with UK water companies
