Experience required…
Essential:
- Proven experience in the design of electrical building services, specifically in fire detection and alarm systems, industrial lighting and emergency lighting, site broadcast (PA) and HVAC.
- Experience in the design of low voltage electrical distribution systems, control & instrumentation systems and communications and data systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage electrical design packages, ensuring all requirements are met throughout the design process.
- Strong understanding and application of design processes, including requirements substantiation.
- Experience in managing deliverables through design processes and technical governance procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Adaptability and flexibility to undertake ad hoc site visits when operationally required.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate risks throughout the design and implementation process.
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Chartered Membership of an appropriate engineering institution.
Desirable:
- Prior experience working within a nuclear or highly regulated industry, understanding site licence and authorisation conditions.
- Familiarity with the specific infrastructure and operational requirements of naval or military facilities.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools, particularly in the context of large-scale infrastructure projects.
