Experience required:
- Essential: Proven experience, not less than five years, in structural engineering, particularly in the design and analysis of complex and seismic structures for industrial or nuclear projects including but not limited to foundations, retaining structures, machine and equipment basis.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and tools for design and assessment.
- Experienced in concrete structures and reinforcement detailing.
- Strong understanding and application of relevant British/European standards and codes of practice for structural design.
- Ability to lead and manage structural design packages, ensuring compliance with project requirements and standards.
- Familiarity with construction materials and their properties.
- Knowledge of structural integrity principles and techniques for assessing and ensuring the safety and reliability of structures.
- Degree in civil or structural engineering from a recognised institution.
- Chartered Membership of a relevant engineering institution.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
Desirable:
- Experience in finite element analysis (FEA) and other advanced structural analysis techniques.
- Ability to design structures affected by vibration.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools, including scheduling and budgeting.
