Experience required…

Essential:

• Experience working with a Transport Environment
• Oversight and management of the Project Managers
• Strategic oversight and leadership of multiple projects
• Working with the Project Managers to manage resources ensuring timely delivery of projects
• Setting goals, tasks and timelines, ensuring that project delivery is to schedule
• Monitoring tracking and reporting of Planned Value and Earned Value performance metrics across programmes and portfolios
• Identifying opportunities for improvement
• Identification of risks and contingency plans
• Preparing reports to various stakeholders from Executive Leadership Team to project delivery officers

Technical Requirements/Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of programme and project management methods and principles
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• In-depth understanding of performance evaluation principles
• Proficiency in various programme management software, including MS Office, MS Project and PowerBI
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Attention to detail and time management skills

Desirable:

• Working knowledge of the Green Book and preparing business cases from SoBC to FBC
• Ability to lead schemes for Local Authorities, from Outline and Full Business Case stage to delivery and handover.
