Experience required…
Essential:
- Experience working with a Transport Environment
- Oversight and management of the Project Managers
- Strategic oversight and leadership of multiple projects
- Working with the Project Managers to manage resources ensuring timely delivery of projects
- Setting goals, tasks and timelines, ensuring that project delivery is to schedule
- Monitoring tracking and reporting of Planned Value and Earned Value performance metrics across programmes and portfolios
- Identifying opportunities for improvement
- Identification of risks and contingency plans
- Preparing reports to various stakeholders from Executive Leadership Team to project delivery officers
Technical Requirements/Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of programme and project management methods and principles
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- In-depth understanding of performance evaluation principles
- Proficiency in various programme management software, including MS Office, MS Project and PowerBI
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Attention to detail and time management skills
Desirable:
- Working knowledge of the Green Book and preparing business cases from SoBC to FBC
- Ability to lead schemes for Local Authorities, from Outline and Full Business Case stage to delivery and handover.
