The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Experience required:

  • Civil Engineering degree or equivalent or evidence of experience in the highways sector
  • Commercial awareness in the delivery of projects
  • Awareness / experience of Local Highway Authority standards
  • Evidence of developing assistant engineers, graduates, and technicians
  • Working knowledge of programming tools such as ASTA
  • Evidence of managing Health & Safety & Environment in design and construction
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other design software including for drainage, alignment, and traffic signs (desirable). Civil 3D experience would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of highway design guidance and standards including Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Manual for Streets, LTN 1 / 20 (Low Traffic Neighbourhood), TSRGD (Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions), MCDHW and other relevant codes of practice and design standards
  • Ability to compile specifications and Bills of Quantities (BoQ)
  • Understanding of CDM (Construction Design Management) 2015 regulations
  • Computer literate particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Full UK / EEC driving licence
