Experience required…

Essential:

  • Good UK experience within a public, private or third-sector UK-based client
  • Experienced in the analysis, design, and assessment of all types of highway structures
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and a good understanding of structural behaviour.
  • Able to conduct structural analyses to assess the load-carrying capacity of bridges in accordance with DMRB standards.
  • Able to use behavioural understanding and experience to understand why structures may be performing better than assessments suggest.

Desirable:

  • Professional membership or demonstrable progress towards this
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Relevant design software/CAD/Civils 3D where appropriate
  • Experience of working on a wide range of bridge types including masonry arches, prestressed and post tensioned concrete, and various types of steel bridges
  • Experience of using LUSAS and ARCHIE-M
