The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

You will benefit from being employed by us while working on a variety of projects for our clients. Joining Waterman Aspen as a Highways Design Engineer will see you as a key member of the London North team and you can expect:

Experience required:

  • Essential: A proven background in designing and delivering Active Travel schemes.
  • A good knowledge of Highway design principles including CDM regulations and a track record of delivering schemes on time and to budget
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • A strong understanding of LTN 1/20.
  • Knowledge of DMRB, Traffic Sign Manual and TSRGD.
  • Has a desire to work within Active Travel and an interest in the gear change the government are pursuing.
  • Previous experience in writing feasibility studies.
  • An interest in planning, policy and strategy around Active Travel.
  • Desirable: Experience in delivering sustainable transport designs including cycleways and passenger transport infrastructure.
  • Experience in producing technical notes and active travel guidance.
  • Site experience
  • Knowledge of designing complex roundabouts and junction layouts.
  • Civils 3D Development Management knowledge, specifically the Town and County Planning Act.
